I'm not even going to read the other comments... I can only imagine. I agonized for weeks over a Tarmac SL8 and an S-Works Aethos. Ultimately it came down to me being a 60 year old and not a racer, so the Aethos was my choice. No regrets . Many people will be dismissive of the Spesh, but they make an absolutely GREAT bike. I agree with the choice and the hot take at the end.

This video should probably be called: "Joe's Favorite Bikes of 2024". He appears to be the only reviewer, if there was a small group of reviewers with differing levels of experience, height, riding styles, etc... I'd give this more credence. And where are the gravel bikes, city bikes, cruisers, etc... I've been connected to this business for years and I can tell you that most shops only stay open because they can sell a beach bike or something similar. Also, let's be real. The pricing is outrageous. Even if cycling is your life, £5,000 plus for a value bike is silly at best.

Somehow I am so jealous you guys, who have chance to ride so many top-end bikes.

I guess bicycles become lighter again and sacrificing a bit of aerodynamics. The industry will try to find a reason to make us buying new bikes again. For me clearly no reasons to change my 2013 road bike. The lower weight with it's supreme agility is more fun to ride for me, whether I'm 2 minutes faster done with my evening ride out is clearly don't care whereas this is off course an argument for races.

This channel gives too much attention to road bikes and drop handle bars. Many cyclists prefer other types of bicycles with different types of handle bars, especially flat handle bars but this channel are ignoring these cyclists. What about city/urban/communter bikes?

All of these best bike reviews are all just subjective. Personal bias also plays into the reviews. Bet if I went to GCN or Bicycling they'd list completely different bikes. I don't put a lot of stock in these best bike reviews.

My vote for best climbing bike would be Trek's Émonda.
